The trip was sweet and the end result was even sweeter for Majestic Presence, who turned a two-hole trip into an 18-1 upset in the Monday evening feature at Woodbine Racetrack.
Chris Christoforou mapped out the pretty trip for the Dagfin Henriksen trainee, who edged clear to win by a head in the $22,000 conditioned tilt for trotters.
Majestic Presence left sharply from Post 7 and landed in the two-hole behind fellow longshot, Cue Hall. That foe fired to the top from Post 8 and whacked out fractions of :26.1, :56.4 and 1:26.2. Majestic Presence angled out late and used a :27.3 closing panel to prevail over Cue Hall, with Vero Amore Bi a lapped-on third.
Gerald Haggerty of Camden East, Ont. owns the five-year-old daughter of Majestic Son-Cuddler. The mare is now 3-for-7 this season and 12-for-55 in her career. The $11,000 payday bumped her career cash stash to $167,356.
