Rivers benefitted from a perfect trip by driver Corey Callahan and won the $25,714 Winners Over/ Select Trot at Bally’s Dover on Tuesday, March 25.

Rivers and Swan In Motion were quickest off the starting gate trotting into the fist turn before Rivers retreated to the pocket allowing Swan In Motion to clear the lead passing the opening quarter in :27.3. Swan in Motion, the 1-2 betting favourite, raced comfortably on the lead, reaching the half in :56.3. Muscle Dynasty went first-over on the backstretch as Rivers waited patiently in the pocket. Swan In Motion continued on an uncontested lead as the outer flow weakened, reaching three-quarters in 1:24.4. In the deep stretch, Rivers weaved his way down along the pylons to win by a head in 1:54. Swan In Motion finished second while Indy Be Quick saved ground and finished third.

The victory was the first of the 2025 racing season in 10 starts for Rivers, who paid $11.20 for the win. Rivers (Anders Bluestone-Stargazer Lily) is trained by Nick Callahan and owned by Burke Racing Stable of Fredericktown, Pennsylvania and Weaver Bruscemi of Canonsburg, Pennsylvania.

Tony Morgan and Corey Callahan guided four winners each on the betting card to lead all drivers.

The feature race on Wednesday night will be the $25,000 USD Mares Open Handicap Pace.  Disturbed Hanover, who was an upset winner at 9-1 odds last week, takes on Ludacrous A and Incaseyoudidnknow.

Bally’s Dover races Monday through Thursday with a first post of 4:30 p.m.
