It has been reported that on Tuesday (March 24) legislation that would see ‘historical racing’ or ‘instant racing’ become legalized in the state of Nebraska survived a vote in the legislature that would have seen the bill killed.
An article by omaha.com explains that Legislative Resolution 41CA would give voters the option of amending the state constitution to allow gambling at video terminals airing previously run, or ‘historic,’ horse races.
The report states that the proposed constitutional amendment is still alive for a final-round vote, which could possibly come later this week.
