Dave Miller wasted little time hustling Laughandbehappy to the engine, and after whacking out easy panels of :27.2, :56.2 and 1:25.2 she roared home in :26.3 to stop the teletimer in 1:52. Delightful Diva sat a pocket trip throughout en route to finishing 1-1/4 lengths behind the winner. Third prize went to Showherthemoney.
Ross Croghan trains the five-year-old daughter of Badlands Hanover-Zinful for the partnership of the Let It Ride Stables Inc, Mentally Stable Inc, Robert Cooper Stables LLC and Jerry Silva. It was the fifth win of the season in nine trips postward for this year’s Cape And Cutter Series champion. The 25-time winner has stashed away $327,285.
