Dave Dewhurst trainee Jk Panache ground first over to best favourite Artful Way in the $15,000 Open Pace at Saratoga Casino Hotel on Saturday, March 23.
Jimmy Devaux sat off the pace early with the son of Art Major before tipping first over heading to the half. Jk Panache dug into the pacesetter through the course of circuit two and prevailed by a slim margin as Artful Way rallied from off the pace for second. In A Single Bound took third.

Jk Panache paid $8.90 to win in the mild upset and led an exacta and triple that came back $46 and $186, respectively. Jimmy Devaux drove four winners on the Saturday card.
