Randy Parish's homebred pacing mare Cayo Loco, the winningest horse sired by BGs Folly, opened Friday night's (March 24) harness racing card at Woodbine Racetrack with a career-best performance. Meanwhile, Rene Allard added to his season-leading win total at Woodbine with a training triple on the 10-race card.

Driven by Mike Saftic, Cayo Loco tracked Art Angel Baby (Travis Cullen) from the pocket throughout the $18,000 opener for conditioned mares and reeled in the tiring race leader down the stretch to score her ninth career win by a head in 1:54.2. She paid $6.90 to win as the 5-2 second choice. Favourite Robocall Hanover (Louis-Philippe Roy) closed outside to finish third.

Cayo Loco is one of just eight horses sired by 2010 New Jersey Classic champion BGs Folly p,3,1:49.1-1:52h-’10 ($562,815). She is out of the Real Desire mare Palm D Or, a full-sister to $845,000-earner Mystic Desire.

Cayo Loco now has a lifetime record reading 9-12-7 in 41 starts over the last two years while earning $73,024 in purses. The win on Friday night was the five-year-old mare's second this year.

Also sired by BGs Folly, eight-time winner Dalton Did It has the opportunity to comeback and match Cayo Loco's nine victories on Saturday night as he is entered in the fourth race at Woodbine.

As the Friday program progressed, the Allard stable began to rack up the wins. First, the season-debuting trotter Madewell Hanover ($9.40) won the third race in 1:55.3 then pacing mare Timmylynn ($3.30) delivered in the seventh race with a 1:52.2 triumph off the claim, and Yonkers invader Deuces For Charity ($21.40) won her ninth race assignment in 1:52. The only driver with multiple victories on Friday's card (four in total), Louis-Philippe Roy drove all of the Allard winners.
