Reinsman George Dennis enjoyed a productive Thursday at Dover Downs thanks to a five-win performance on the 15-race card.
Dennis broke the ice with heavily-favoured Cut The Beach in Race 2. The Deleston Cote-trained pacer won by more than six lengths in 1:54.2. Dennis came right back to take Race 3 with Selandia in 1:55.1.
He was reunited with victory lane in Race 6 thanks to a 1:55.3 triumph with Willow Mill Faith, and he late found his way back to the winner’s circle in Race 13 with Im Won Rum Wiser. He was a popular winner in 1:52. Dennis also took home top honours in the finale with Abrcdbra Hanover in 1:56.
Dennis, a career winner of 5,116 races, will be shooting for his 20th consecutive season of banking more than $1 million in purse earnings. He’s already racked up close to $700,000 in earnings this season.
