Anaffairtoremember worked out a cozy pocket trip, then blew by in the Lightning Lane to capture Tuesday’s $18,000 Filly & Mare Winners Over $10,000 Life/Preferred Handicap Trot at The Meadows.

The five-year-old daughter of Angus Hall-Val Lee Woman zipped to the lead but yielded to Cowgirl Hall after stinging her in a 27.4 opening panel. Anaffairtoremember was fresher in the stretch, responding to Aaron Merriman’s urging and downing Cowgirl Hall by 1/2 length in 1:56 on a “good” surface. Unefoisdansmavie raced well first over for show.

Bill Bercury owns and trains Ontario Sires Stakes graduate Anaffairtoremember, who now boasts $324,797 in career earnings.

Dave Palone, Dan Rawlings and Mike Wilder each piloted a pair of winners on the 14-race card.
