According to a report on goldcoast.com.au, the Interdominion may have found a long-term host location in the Gold Coast.
The article states that Harness Racing Australia's CEO, Andrew Kelly, has said that the city had pushed itself into the frame as a future host over several years.
The report states that plans had been in place to see the Parklands trotting complex bulldozed to make way for the new Gold Coast hospital, though those plans may have changed.
Gold Coast Harness Racing chairman Alan Boyd said his association's chances of hosting future Interdominions at the current site or at a relocated venue had been greatly enhanced.
"They (harness racing officials) love it here," he was quoted as saying.
