Five More For Forward

It started out as a sweep of the Daily Double wager for driver Brad Forward at Windsor Raceway on Sunday evening, but by the end of the night it had snowballed into a

five-win night at the office.

Forward, who took the opener with Source Of Power (1:57) and came right back to take the next race with Dontstiffthevet (1:58.1), had a hat trick put together just four races into the card thanks in part to his triumph in Race 4 with Tapioca Blues (1:53.3).

High percentage trainer Chris “Gunner” Haskell was responsible for supplying Forward with his final two winners on the 11-race program. Pacing stalwart Prince Val (1:54) pushed Brad’s nightly win total to four thanks to his tally in Race 8 and that pacer’s stablemate, Arts Country (1:55.2), bumped that number to five thanks to his head decision over Majestic Place in the finale.

After notching more than 500 wins in each of the last two years, Forward is on the verge of surpassing the 100-win plateau for the 2010 campaign. His UTR continues to hover just above .400 in 2010 – a significant jump from the .339 UTR he assembled in 2009.
