Pam Forgie's All Out Henry ($9.30) had all the answers in Wednesday's featured $8,500 Preferred 3 Trot at The Raceway at Western Fair District, dismissing backstretch pressure and keeping a stand-side rally from Scene A Magician at bay in a wide-open contest. On the undercard, Patrick Shepherd led all trainers with four wins on the 10-race program.

All Out Henry, the lukewarm favourite in a race that saw seven of its eight competitors dismissed between 7-2 and 6-1, strode to early command from post 4 through a :29.4 first quarter before driver Scott Young backed the half down to 1:02.1. After his :32.2 second-quarter breather, the seven-year-old Cornaro Dasolo gelding made easy work of the first-over Yoooukilis (Marc St. Louis) — who forced a :30.1 third sectional — before turning up the tempo on the final turn.

A :29.3 final split was plenty for All Out Henry to complete his 2:02 mile in victorious fashion, as Scene A Magician (Greg Dustin) could only work to within 1-3/4 lengths from off three-wide cover. Nebraska Jack (Tyler Borth) was a one-paced third from the pocket after racing in tight quarters through the second circuit.

All Out Henry, now an 18-time winner, earned his second win in eight starts this year, all at The Raceway.

Shepherd's training grand slam began in the opener, when Fern Hill Breeze ($7.70, Austin Sorrie) swept clear of his $15,000 claiming rivals. Kims Desire ($7.00, Robert Shepherd) kicked cover to take the fifth, a distaff claiming handicap, A Yankee Feeln ($15.50, St. Louis) wired his foes in the ninth, a $7,000 claiming pace, and Tenor Duharas ($10.00, St. Louis) captured the 1-1/16 mile finale off a bold middle move.
