Josh Sutton drove five winners on Wednesday, March 19 at Northfield Park.
Sutton’s winners included Rose Run Leah ($3.20) in Race 1, Western Rival ($6.40) in Race 4, Near The Limit ($3.20) in Race 5, Fortune Sailor ($4.40) in Race 9 and KC Colt ($4.80) in Race 12.
Sutton, 31, began driving in 2000 and has since garnered 2,289 career victories and is approaching $13,000,000 in purse earnings.
Sutton has posted 78 victories so far this year over Northfield’s ‘flying turns,’ ranking him second in the local driving ranks. Only Ronnie Wrenn Jr. (85) has more local wins this year than Sutton. Chasing Wrenn and Sutton are Aaron Merriman (65), Robin Miller (38), Keith Kash Jr. (38) and David Lake (38).
