With Brent Holland driving for trainer Larry Remmen, Rushmore Hanover stuffed 8-5 choice Stunt Man Hall (Jason Bartlett) into the pocket before a 29-second opening quarter-mile. Rushmore Hanover then found a :59.4 intermission with no one leaving the cones.
Libra Vita (Ryan Anderson) pulled from third, engaging "Rushmore" going toward the 1:29.2 three-quarters. Rushmore Hanover owned a half-length lead turning for home, with Stunt Man Hall diving inside and Libra Vita hanging around.
Rushmore Hanover held sway by that same half-length margin in 1:58.3. Stunt Man Hall chased but couldn't reach, with Libra Vita, Im a Sakra (Mike Forte) and Passito (Jordan Stratton) completing the cashers.
For Rushmore Hanover, a five-year-old Credit Winner gelding owned by John Lichtenberger, he returned $9.20 (third choice) for his second win in seven seasonal starts. The exacta paid $35, with the triple returning $153.50.
