Quebec's standardbred breeders today received their first bit of good news in many months
.
The Quebec horsemen's association, ATAQ, reported on its website that racetrack operator Attractions Hippiques has sent a cheque for $339,000 to provincial racing agency SONACC to cover breeders' premiums for sires-stakes events raced between June 26 and Nov. 30 last year.
SONACC will determine who gets what and distribute the funds accordingly in a matter of days.
Attractions Hippiques has been in creditor protection since last June.
