Driver Billy Davis Jr. put on a driving clinic on Thursday night at Flamboro, winning more than half the races on the card.
For the record, it was an 11-race card so it would be impossible to win 5.5 races. Davis finished the night with a double hat-trick, having his picture taken six times. The winning started in Race 3 aboard Tothepointe James, coming right back in Race 4 to guide Strokin to victory. The next win was in Race 7 with Earthquake Madness before concluding the night by sweeping the last three races -- Libertys Best Star in Race 9, American Grace in Race 10 and Conata in the final dash, Race 11.
Strokin, Libertys Best Star and American Grace also gave trainer Patrick Shepherd a Thursday three-bagger.
With six wins added to his seasonal total, Davis boasts 68 victories on the year -- good for third in Canada behind Alfie Carroll (95) and Robert Shepherd (83).
