Flamboro Downs' leading driver Scott Coulter dominated Sunday's matinee card of harness racing steering winners in half of the 12 races.
Coulter's first victory of the day was in the third race when he sent the career-debuting sophomore pacer P L Gyro ($9.50) four-wide to go from last to first for trainer Jeffrey Brooks. He also won the following race with the pocket-pulling trotter, Hallucination ($9.70), conditioned by Richard Moreau.
The Rebecca Titus-trained trotting mare Kalectra ($14.10) later eked out a neck victory in the sixth dash for Coulter. The repeating pacer Cosmos ($7.20), trained by Barry Treen, also circled a field of eight in the ninth race before Coulter swept the late Daily Double.
His final victories were with the front-stepping pacers Upfront Hoosierboy ($4), trained by Ben Baillargeon, and KG Comet ($7.60), conditioned by Wayne Dunn.
The Brantford, Ont. reinsman currently ranks among Canada's top 10 drivers in 2013 for both wins (73) and purse earnings ($445,824). He's won 66 races at the Dundas, Ont. oval this year and holds a 16-win lead in the local standings over Robert Shepherd, who enjoyed a triple during Sunday's program.
