Slave Dream Returns

Slave Dream, the 2010 Nat Ray winner, this morning recorded his first charted line since October, 2010 during Mohawk Racetrack's qualifying session

With his trainer, Frank O'Reilly in tow, the six-year-old son of Pearsall Hanover competed in the ninth dash on the 10-race card.

The pair left from Post 9 and were on the outside in second as the opening quarter-mile timer flashed up in :29.3. They cleared in the second quarter and opened up four lengths before clicking off the opening half-mile in :58.4. The gelding brought the three-quarters timer to life in 1:28.4 before cruising home in :29.2 for the two and three-quarter-length victory.

The track was rated as 'fast' and Slave Dream 's mile was clocked in 1:58.1.

From 10 starts last season, Slave Dream raced to a record of 2-2-2 and $367,065 in purses. His 1:52 victory in the Nat Ray went down as a new life's mark. Owned by Franco Cianci and Isidoro Russo, Slave Dream has started 58 times in his career and has finished on the board 44 times. His career slate reads 20-14-10 with $730,696 in purses.
