Though Billy “Zeke” Parker, Jr. is approaching 58 years of age he shows no signs of slowing down

Currently ninth on the all-time list of drivers with the most lifetime wins, on the Monday matinee program at Monticello Raceway the bearded wonder added five more victories to his totals and now is just one victory shy of 10,300.

He began the day with a 2:00:4 victory with Bruce Aldrich, Sr.’s Classy Ivory ($3.60) in the first race and then didn’t win another until he reined Woody Hoblitzell’s Moonlit Tori ($59.00) to a 2:01 triumph in race number five.

Parker then won the sixth with Class Act Stables’ My Miracle ($18.40) in a 2:01 clocking and then ended the afternoon with back to back wins in the final two races on the card. He scored with Kermit Allen and Art Green’s trotter, Stormont Wales, ($3.90) in 2:02 in the tenth and then won the 11th behind the C.W.; I.H, and G.S. Axelrod’s Luvtochangtheworld in 2:00:2.

“The track was in pretty good shape today even after the heavy rains we’ve recently had and I had some horses that fit their classes real well,” Parker said. “

Parker, a 14-time driving champion at the Mighty M, now has 65 driving victories at the current meeting which ranks him second on the local leaderboard, behind Bruce Aldrich, Jr.’s 73.
