
Adam Twelve responded from the drop down in class and won wire-to-wire in the $22,857 Winners Over Pace at Bally's Dover on Thursday, March 13.
Adam Twelve (Corey Callahan) blasted off the wings of the starting gate and quickly reached the opening quarter in :27.1. The field remained single file as Adam Twelve clipped the half in :56.3. Master Rigger (Barton Dalious) sprinted first over down the backstretch and Grand Cayman (George Napolitano Jr.) joined the outer flow second over.
Opening up on the field, Adam Twelve clicked out the three-quarters in 1:23.3 as the challenge from the outer flow never materialized. Adam Twelve went on to win by three-quarters of a length in 1:51. Wager On Me (Anthony Morgan) finished second while Joker On Jack (Montrell Teague) completed the show ticket.
Nicholas Callahan trains the five-year-old Luck Be Withyou - Mandys Mattjesty gelding, who he co-owns with Yorwollahan Racing Team, Gregory Godbout, and Robert Aerenson. Adam Twelve paid $4.60 as the favourite.
On Monday (March 17), the Bally's Dover Later Closer for three-year-old DSBF eligibles begins and will continue throughout the week. There will be two eliminations and a $50,000 final.
Dover races Monday through Thursday with a 4:30 p.m. post time.
