Maplelea continued her dominance in the Horseplayer Interactive Series on Friday night and now boasts a combined win margin of 14-1/4 lengths for the first two legs.

The three-year-old daughter of Sportswriter romped to a nine and a quarter-length victory in this week's $17,000 division with Rick Zeron aboard. She was sent postward as the overwhelming 1-9 favourite following last week's five-length victory in the series opener.

Zeron made his move with Maplelea after the :27.1 first quarter, sending her from third to first as the field straightened up down the backstretch. She quickly took over command and kept on rolling through panels of :57.2 and 1:26.3 en route to the 1:53.4 triumph, shaving more than two full seconds off her lifetime mark. Swapping the other top three placings from a week ago, War Filly (Simon Allard) survived a judges' inquiry to remain the runner-up while Wake N Bake (Chris Christoforou) finished third this night.

Owned and trained by Andrew Moore of Russell, Ont., the lightly raced filly has finished no worse than second in six starts this year after going 0-for-3 as a two-year-old. Maplelea's fourth career win lifted her bankroll to $48,175.

The series, which is for Ontario-sired three-year-old filly pacers that are non-winners of $50,000 lifetime as of Oct. 31, 2014, will wrap up next Saturday with a $39,400 final.

In another repeat performance, Brent Belore trainee Greystone Ladylike won her second straight Fillies & Mares Preferred as she rallied home from third over with Doug McNair aboard. Jim and Jean Caddey's homebred Stonebridge Regal mare stopped the clock in 1:52.3, matching the Canadian season's record for an aged pacing mare, with favourite and co-record holder Marquise De Sarah (Jody Jamieson) also closing late for second and Waasmula (Randy Waples) finishing third. She paid $11.20 to win as the 9-2 second choice.

The Jackpot Hi 5 carryover has now reached $593,294.68 going into Saturday's card.
