The trip was sweet and the end result was even sweeter for B Yoyo who captured Monday’s $34,000 Preferred Trot in 1:54.3 at Woodbine Racetrack.

B Yoyo got away fifth in the six-horse affair while race favourite Will Take Charge shot to the front and put up first-half fractions of :26.4 and :56.2. He was pressed hard around the final turn by Odds On Amethyst, with B Yoyo tracking cover from second over for driver Doug McNair. B Yoyo kicked off cover in the lane and used a :29.2 closing panel to win by a length over Odds On Amethyst. Will Take Charge faded late and settled for third prize.

Richard Moreau trains the eight-year-old son of Striking Sahbra-B Joyflo for owner Brad Grant of Milton, Ont. Grant purchased the gelding privately earlier this year. The 34-time winner pushed his lifetime earnings to $446,289.

The victory was one of three on the program for multiple O'Brien Award-winning trainer, Richard Moreau. The native of Quebec also clicked with stablemates Regil Tiger (Race 4 - 1:54) and Natural Kemp (Race 6 - 1:56.1).
