Reports indicate that Fraser Downs Racetrack and Casino will be undergoing a multi-million dollar makeover in the near future.
Chuck Keeling, vice president of stakeholder relations and responsible gaming for Great Canadian Gaming Corp., has confirmed with the Cloverdale Reporter that the venue will be undergoing "a very significant overhaul" within the $12 million range that will be taking place "pretty well immediately."
Great Canadian Gaming Corp. has not released complete details regarding the project, but the Cloverdale Reporter has reported it will include updates to the food and beverage and entertainment areas.
“Fundamentally, it speaks to our confidence in the Surrey marketplace,” Keeling told the Cloverdale Reporter. “Yes, there is competition,” he added. “But despite that, it’s still a good marketplace. We’ve been there now for 40 years and are looking to stay awhile yet.”
