Yonkers Raceway's 2012 stakes season began Monday night, with the opening leg of the Petticoat Pacing Series
.
The series, for three and four-year-old young ladies who were non-winners of four races and/or $40,000 through this past Dec. 1, offered a half-dozen, $12,500 divisions.
Monday night's Petticoat groupings were won by:
- Angelos Dream (age four by Dream Away); owner Sue Chindano/trainer Brian Yusko/driver Larry Stalbaum; (life-best) 1:55.4/$2.90
- Fashion Majorette (age four by Art Major); owner Robert Main/trainer Jason Robinson/driver Jason Bartlett; 1:55.4/$25.20
- Crazyboutdadrummer (age four by Cheyenne Rei); owner John Grozenski/trainer Brandon Simpson/driver Tyler Buter; 1:55.2/$6.50
- Southwind Trini (age four by Rocknroll Hanover): owner Karma Racing/trainer Kevin Hough/driver Cat Manzi; 1:55.1/$2.60
- Look Annie Hall (age four by Yankee Cruiser): co-owners Eleanor and Edward Corley, Edward Richter/trainer Ross Croghan/driver George Brennan; 1:56.4/$5.10
- Fellas Ella (age four by Pacific Fella); owner Robert Pyott/trainer John Pyott/driver Jim Pantaleano; 1:58.2/$5
Yonkers' five-night-per-week (Monday/Tuesday/Thursday/Friday/Saturday) live schedule continues. First post for all programs remains at 7:10 p.m.
The stakes schedule continues Tuesday night, with the opening round of the Sagamore Hill Pacing Series.
