Driver John MacDonald manufactured another dominant night at the office on Thursday thanks to a six-win performance at Rideau Carleton Raceway

After enjoying a career year in 2009 with 411 wins and more than $1.9 in purse earnings, MacDonald kicked off the card with a 2:01.1 score behind Chip Dot Com. The square gaiter drew clear to win by more than a pair of lengths in the opening division of the Full Of Trot Trotting Series.
MacDonald also clicked with Fancyrambam (1:58.1), An Angel For Earl (2:01.2), Le Moras Big Guy (1:57.4), Scilla De Chakrika (2:00) and Carnivalocity (1:59.2).
The resident of Russell, Ontario has notched 45 wins so far this season while banking in excess of $222,000 along the way. The career winner of 1,714 races has banked more than $8.4 million over the course of his career.
As mentioned above, Chip Dot Com (2:01.1) drew first blood in the Full Of Trot Trotting Series. Other divisional winners were Stormont Romance (2:02.3) and An Angel For Earl (2:01.2).
Horses were required to race for $6,500 claiming tags in the opening leg, but the price will jump to $7,800 for next Thursday’s second round. The $12,500 (added) final is scheduled for Friday, March 26 at Rideau Carleton Raceway.
