Western Fair Raceway’s 2009 Driver of the Year, Doug McNair, was out in full force on Friday night at the London half-miler driving home five winners
on the 12-race program.
McNair kicked off his five-bagger with the Joey Ayotte pupil No Mercy Percy (2:01) in Friday’s opener before he went back-to-back in the fourth and fifth races winning with Putnam Jordan (2:06) for trainer Darryl Laver and Mr Invincible (2:02) for Stephen Bossence. For Mr Invincible, a four-year-old gelded son of Angus Hall-Ms Vic, the win was his sixth straight. McNair sent the Terry Mckibbin-trained Daylon Hope (2:01) down victory lane next in the seventh race and wrapped up the night with one more triumph aboard On Demand (2:02.2), conditioned by Terry Oenema.
