First over from before the half, Partyatbartsplace ground out his second straight victory in Tuesday’s Walter Russell Memorial Pace.

Also capturing $15,000, second-leg splits in the series for three- and four-year-old pacing colts, horses and geldings at The Meadows were Mogul Hanover, who won his second straight in the Russell, and KRs Power Surge, a 25-1 surprise.

Partyatbartsplace was third when Aaron Merriman sent him after the leader, Mattamerican. The pair dueled until mid-stretch, where Partyatbartsplace edged clear and downed Mattamerican by a length in a career-best 1:53.3. Dealin Dan rallied for show.

Charlie Norris trains Partyatbartsplace, a four-year-old Party At Artsplace-Miss Major Power gelding, for Thumbs Up Stable.

In the $20,000 Preferred Trot, converted claimer Call To Post powered to the lead past the quarter and was unassailable thereafter, scoring in 1:54, a lifetime mark. Early leader Bound For Fame was second, 2-1/4 lengths back, while Tamarind closed well for show.

Doug Snyder piloted the five-year-old Tom Ridge-Poster Princess gelding, who soared over $100,000 in career earnings, for trainer Dane Snyder and owner Danielle Snyder.

Dave Palone and trainer Steve Schoeffel each enjoyed a triple on the 15-race card.
