The spotlight was on driver Yannick Gingras Wednesday night at the Meadowlands Racetrack as he reined
in a total of five winners on the 10-race program.
Gingras started his winning ways in the third race guiding Taylorlane Diva to victory in a career best 1:52.4. The resident of Freehold, New Jersey then scored three more back-to-back wins. The veteran pacer, Franco Catapult N, overcame Post 9 and odds of 22-1 to win in 1:52 while Super Conway trotted to victory in 1:55.3. Gingras scored a grand slam with Artist Cafe stopping the clock in 1:52.1 in the next dash and then returned to victory lane with Glors Boys, also in 1:52.1, in the eighth race.
The third generation horseman has recorded 49 wins in ’09 with over $900,000 in earnings. Having sat behind a total of 2,595 winners in his career, Gingras has banked well over $40 million in purses.
