Trot Insider has started to give Canadians the inside scoop on all of those participating in the upcoming National Driving Championship. Via an article today by the Morning Sentinel, readers can now take a look at the representative coming from south of the border

.

"Any time you can represent your country, it's a pretty big deal," Bartlett was quoted as saying. "I never thought I would do this, being from Maine, so this is a pretty big deal."

The article provides much background on the up-and-coming driver. In the piece, Bartlett explains what the two biggest differences are from North American to European racing.

"They don't carry whips," Bartlett said. "We are mostly single-file racing, but over there they stay out and go two-wide for the whole mile (the length of each race). It's kind of like auto racing. But it shouldn't be a big deal."

The World Driving Championship will be taking place from May 14-20 in Norway.
