The battles continue atop the trainer and driver standings as two months of the 2015 Canadian harness racing season have now concluded.

A strong week has propelled driver Sylvain Filion to the top of the earnings list among Canada's drivers. With former leader James MacDonald on vacation, Filion forged to the front and now boasts $662,680 in purses. That total tops Trevor Henry ($591,596) and MacDonald ($579,167).

Alfie Carroll's win total of 76 leads all Canadian drivers for dashes won in 2015. The Iona Station resident holds a double-digit lead over Robert Shepherd (58) and Henry (49).

The recent winner of the O'Brien Award of Horsemanship, Bill Davis continues to post impressive high-percentage numbers in Western Canada. The Langley, B.C. resident boasts both the nation's highest UDRS (among those with 40 or more starts) as a driver (0.479) and a trainer (0.549). Davis leads Travis Cullen (0.439) and Bill Tainsh, Jr. (0.409) on the driving side, and Isaac Waxman (0.501) and David Menary (0.489) on the training side.

Richard Moreau, also a two-time O'Brien Award winning trainer like Davis, has retained command over the Canadian training charts for wins and purses. His 44 wins on Canadian soil bests Patrick Shepherd's 28 and David Menary's 18. On the earnings side, Moreau more than doubles his nearest competitor with $567,329. Next on the list is Joe Cirosuola ($272,900), followed by Carmen Auciello ($264,570).
