Tracks Brace For Wednesday's Storm

In preparation for the winter storm set to hit parts of Canada and the United States on Tuesday and Wednesday, many of the tracks conducting live racing or qualifiers are changing plans

Pompano's First Post Delayed

Although it might not be related to the winter storm pounding the northeastern U.S., Pompano Park has announced that the first-race post time first its Wednesday, February 10 card of live racing will be delayed.

Monticello Cancels Wednesday, February 10 Card

Due to the heavy snowstorm on the east coast, Monticello Raceway has cancelled its live racing program for Wednesday, February 10.

The track will host live harness action again on Thursday, February 11 with the first-race post time slated for 12:25 p.m.


Freehold Cancels

Freehold Raceway cancelled live racing scheduled for Wednesday, February 10 due to a winter storm expected to leave over a foot of snow on the region for the second time in less than a week.


Meadowlands Cancels Wed. Card; Qualifiers Now Friday

With heavy snow expected to hit the region tomorrow, the Meadowlands Racetrack has canceled its live card for Wednesday, February 10 and postponed morning qualifying races to Friday, February 12.

The facility is tentatively open for daytime simulcasting.

Live racing is scheduled to resume Thursday, February 11 at 7:00 p.m. The Tender Loving Care Series slated for Wednesday, February 10 will be rescheduled for Thursday, February 18.

With a special matinee card scheduled for Presidents’ Day, there is no racing on Wednesday, February 17.

The Meadowlands’ live schedule appears below.

Thursday – Saturday, February 11 – 13 (7:00 p.m.)
Sunday, February 14 and Monday, February 15 (1:10 p.m.)

The track will be dark Tuesday and Wednesday, February 16-17.


The Meadows Cancels Wednesday’s Live Racing

In the throes of southwestern Pennsylvania’s second major snowstorm in five days, The Meadows Racetrack & Casino has canceled Wednesday’s live card. The casino, race book and off-track sites will remain open.

Live racing is set to resume Friday, Feb. 12, first post 3:55 PM.


Western Fair's Storm Plans

Western Fair Raceway has announced that it has taken pre-emptive measures in light of the pending winter weather which is expected to cause havoc in the local area.

Track officials announced Tuesday afternoon that the track will be closed for training on Wednesday, February 10 to ensure the surface will be ready for the scheduled card of live racing on Thursday, February 11.

Windsor Cancels Qualifiers

Windsor Raceway has canceled their Wednesday session of qualifiers. The next session of qualifiers will take place next Wednesday, February 17 with entries due by February 16 at 11:00 a.m.
