Veteran trotter Lets Leavem earned his second straight victory of the season taking Friday's featured $8,500 Preferred 3 Trot at The Raceway at the Western Fair District.
Lets Leavem paid $4.40 to win after defeating popular pick Sicario in a 2:02 mile over the 'good' track, which was rated three seconds off. With Scott Coulter catch-driving, he moved from third and confronted the front-striding favourite at the third quarter mark en route to the 3-1/4-length victory. Hldontghttoyurdrms rallied for third.
Lets Leavem last won at The Raceway while racing under saddle in the Harlequin Final on November 2. Tonight's victory followed up a successful outing at Woodbine Mohawk Park three weeks ago.
Shane Arsenault trains the nine-year-old Angus Hall gelding, who now boasts 25 career wins and $215,465 in purses, for Sarah Town of Hamilton, Ont.
