After seeing her five-race win streak come to a screeching halt last week, it didn't take Wanna Rock N Roll ($4.90) long to get back to the winner's circle as she went gate-to-wire in a season's best 1:58.2 to capture Buffalo Raceway's featured $10,000 Open pace for the ladies on Wednesday night (February 8).
Last week, Wanna Rock N Roll had a troubled trip and settled for a disappointing fifth behind My Tallia Ideal, snapping her impressive run.
But Wanna Rock N Roll (Drew Monti) turned the tables on My Tallia Ideal this time around.
Starting from the rail, Wanna Rock N Roll posted fractions of :30.4, 1:00.1 and 1:29.3 over the 'good' track and disposed of My Tallia Ideal (David McNeight III) by a non-threatening three-quarters of a length. Scarlet N Silk (Ray Fisher Jr.) took the show spot.
Owned by Rose Campbell and trained by Steven Kiblin, Wanna Rock N Roll (Rocknroll Hanover-Cams Leading Lady) is a six-year-old mare that has now won three times in four appearances in 2017. The victory moved her seasonal earnings to $15,500 and lifetime bankroll to $265,171.
Larry Stalbaum had four wins in the bike while Shawn Gray tripled. Trainers Gerry Sarama and Kimberly Asher each conditioned three winners.
