Sent off as the 1-5 favourite, Action Broadway gave her backers some anxious moments before Dave Palone sent her after the leader, Pilgrims Stunner. The four-year-old daughter of Broadway Hall-Photo With Molly collared Pilgrims Stunner in the stretch and defeated her by 1-1/2 lengths in 1:58.2 over a “good” track. In Focus Hanover was third.
Virgil Morgan, Jr. trains Action Broadway, who now has won two straight and 12 of 33 in her career, for Ken Sommer.
Brett Miller drove three winners on the 15-race card.
