Sizzlen Hot Herbie 'Sizzles' In Western Fair Feature

Owned, trained and driven by a fresh-from-Prince Edward Island Natasha Day, Sizzlen Hot Herbie won the featured $8,000 conditioned trot at The Raceway at the Western Fair District on Wednesday, Feb. 7.

Day and Sizzlen Hot Herbie got away third behind pacesetting Run Like Hill (Travis Henry) and Top Of The Bar (George Ketros). After maintaining pylon position through the opening panel in :29.1, Day pulled her right line to move Sizzlen Hot Herbie on the outer journey through the half in 1:00.2 and three-quarters in 1:29.2. Around the final turn, the pair achieved the lead and took off with open track ahead, going on to win by 3-1/2 lengths in 1:59.2. Jayport Hi Class (Greg Dustin) followed their outerflow cover to second and Run Like Hill took third.

Sizzlen Hot Herbie (Here Comes Herbie-Six Red) is a 10-year-old gelding with a career bankroll of $285,840. From 186 starts, 'Herbie' has 33 wins, 22 seconds and 28 thirds. As the bettors' choice, he returned $4.10 to win.
