Racing At Atlanta’s Turner Field?

It has been reported that the City of Atlanta may make a push to see a live horse racing venue replace Major League Baseball at Turner Field, which is currently home to the Atlanta Braves.

An article by Rockdale News has cited independent political lobbyist Elizabeth Miller as saying that HB 4, which calls for the legalization of pari-mutuel wagering, ‘appears’ to have enough support to pass, but will probably be tabled until January of next year.

The Atlanta Braves organization previously announced that it will be vacating Turner Field for a new facility in Cobb County. Due to the Braves eventually leaving Turner Field, Miller has been cited as saying that it is ‘expected’ that Atlanta officials will be lobbying hard for the legalization of pari-mutuel wagering.
