Lovemyrockinbird Victorious In London Preferred

The betting public was all over Lovemyrockinbird in Monday’s $13,000 Preferred Pace for horses and geldings, and after being treated to a pocket trip he rallied late to secure the win for driver Colin Kelly.

Lovemyrockinbird left out from Post 3 and quickly dropped into the two-hole behind Cheddar Bay.  That foe sliced out fractions of :27.4, :58 and 1:27 before being forced to turn on the afterburners.  Lovemyrockinbird found late clearance and used his :28.1 closing panel to win by a head over Cheddar Bay in 1:55.2.  Crosscut took home the show dough in the six-horse affair.     

It was the first win of the season from six attempts for the Victor Puddy trainee, who won for the 16th time in his career.  Limco Inc of Chateauguay, Que. owns the career winner in excess of $187,000.
