Hoerdt & Corbeil Triple At Northlands

Kelly Hoerdt and business partner Blair Corbeil took Northlands Park by storm on Saturday sending out winners in one third of the afternoon’s nine races

Favourite Multiflora Hanover, with Bryce Stiller driving, emerged from the three spot to win her second race assignment by a neck in 2:03.2 over a frozen track. Hoerdt worked out a similar trip in the fifth race with River Lass, the longest shot on the board at odds of 12-1. The three-year-old As Promised filly won by over two lengths in 2:00.1. Finally, Dees Promise edged out ASHA Award winner All Canadian Mjjz by a neck to win the eighth race, with Hoerdt aboard, in 2:00.1.

Horses trained by Hoerdt have finished first or second seven times in 10 starts so far this year. With 988 training wins on his record he will look to reach the 1,000-win milestone this year.
