Horse Racing New Brunswick president Jamie Hachey told Trot Insider this morning that the Saint John Harness Horsemen's Association is holding a meeting
on Saturday, February 7 at 1:30 p.m. in their association room at the track.
"I am going to be there to answer any questions I can," Hachey said. "The Fredericton Horsemen's Association organized the same thing last week and it went well. A large crowd assembled and a positive buzz was about the room. We exchanged info and solicited input from various members of the industry, as a sort of 'check up' to ensure we are capturing the expectations.
"In the near future we will be hosting a social for our customers. We will be assembling to present our organization, our plans and to solicit their input."
Hachey concluded by saying the positive dialogue and collective effort that has emerged from the discussions thus far ensures that racing will be back soon.
