Callous Thieves Steal Horse Tails

The Rocky Mountain News has reported that a vial trend of callous acts has been taking place in Parker, Colorado as of late.

According to the report, on Wednesday, February 4, thieves made off with the tails of five Belgian horses. Similar incidents had also taken place one week prior.

The article states that the motive may be financial, as horse hair is used for hat bands, hair and tail extensions, violin strings.

Tom Johnson, co-owner of Happy Trails Horse Drawn Rides in Parker, said that he and his partners, "are kind of at a loss as to what to do" in terms of extra security.
