Corey Callahan, the sport’s leading dash-winning driver in 2013, reached the winner’s circle six times during Tuesday’s card at Dover Downs.
Artstanding, a 10-year-old winner of $675,727, was one of Callahan’s winners. The veteran reduced his lifetime mark to 1:51.4 winning a $20,000 claiming event with Callahan in tow. He also clicked with Sound The Belle (1:57.1), Corky Duke (1:56.1), Complete Desire (1:52.3), Pegasus Blue Chip (1:55) and Lislea Miles (1:53.2).
The six-win performance gives the Queenstown, Maryland horseman 83 wins this season and 2,869 to date. Callahan enjoyed a career year in 2012 thanks to 519 wins and purse earnings in excess of $7.3 million. Overall, he’s racked up more than $35 million in purse earnings.
