The 2011 season is off to a shining start for Allthatgltrsisgold

.

The four-year-old pacer is perfect in two starts after taking his $40,000 division of the Aquarius Series on Saturday night at Meadowlands Racetrack. Steered by Ron Pierce, Allthatgltrsisgold sat far off the early pace and closed like a freight train to win the first of the two splits by a neck in 1:52. It was just a neck behind to Whiskey Pete, who narrowly held off Urgent Action for second. Sent off the 2-5 favourite, Allthatgltrsisgold paid $3 to win the fifth race.

Indiana horseman Bob Brower sent the pacer into the care of trainer Larry Remmen for his winter campaign at the Meadowlands. Allthatgltrsisgold earned more than $400,000 last year while racing in a three-year-old division dominated by Horse of the Year front-runner Rock N Roll Heaven. His six victories for the season included the $250,000 Monument Circle at Indiana Downs.

Veterinarians Jeff and Maria King bred and own the son of Cams Card Shark-Glitter N Glitz. The Kings operate Victory Hill Farm, a full-care equine facility in Langrange, Indiana. They have raised several foals out of Glitter N Glitz, including Glittering Beaches, who won more than $200,000.

Foreign Officer pounced off a pocket trip to best the pacesetter Windsong Gorgeous by a neck in the second Aquarius division. Driven by Tim Tetrick, Foreign Officer was clocked in 1:53.4 as he posted his first win in two starts this season. He returned $8.60.

Foreign Officer, trained by Tony Alagna, earned $146,000 last season. His three-year-old campaign included victories in the $100,000 Meadowlands Pace consolation and his elimination for the Berry's Creek. David Rovine of St. Petersburg, Florida bid $150,000 for the son of Western Ideal-Allamerican Coco at the 2011 Tattersalls Mixed Sale held January 17 at the Meadowlands. Rovine shares ownership of the pacer with Joel Benson of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; Mel Hartman of Ottawa, Ont.; and Foreign Officer Partners [John Fodera, Stewart Goldberg, Toby Rekoon, Donna Lee Ozment, et al] of Steger, Illinois.
