Warrington Wins Three; Accident Update

Trainer-driver Clinton Warrington Jr. piloted three from his stable to the winner's circle on Sunday, Feb. 4 at Fraser Downs.

Warrington Jr.'s three wins came with Paint This Town ($25.00), riding cover and blasting to a three-and-three-quarter length victory in 1:57.4, Wrangler Cat ($11.20), popping the pocket in progress to a 1:58.3 mile, and Attila The Hen ($18.10), riding the rail and edging to a nose victory in 2:01.1.

G Ts Jamie sat the pocket before lunging to the lead late in the $12,000 Fillies and Mares Open, winning by three-quarters of a length over favourite Tahiti Seelster in 1:55.3.

Tahiti Seelster set a :27.1 clip on the lead, soon undergoing pressure from American Passion parked from the start. Holding the front through splits of :57 and 1:25, Tahiti Seelster turned for home a length and a half in front of G Ts Jamie, who edged out into the stretch and overtook the pacesetter in the final strides. American Passion held on for third.

A seven-year-old mare by Brandons Cowboy out of thye Bettors Delight mare G Ts Sheer Delight, G Ts Jamie, owned by J J J Stables and trainer Jim Marino, won her 17th in 71 starts, earning $139,160. Driven by Paul Davies, she paid $6.90 to win.

The seventh race on the program was declared a no contest following an accident which was the result of Mach Majorette losing stride. Reports from Fraser indicate that John Abbot and Keith Dicks, the two drivers involved, have a number of undetermined injuries. Trot Insider will provide more information as it becomes available.
