Mayor Ellis: "We Need An End To This"

It has been reported that on Thursday, February 3, Belleville City Council unanimously supported a motion which will formally ask the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation for an update in regard to the years-long Baymount/New Quinte Raceway quagmire

An article by the Belleville Intelligencer states that city council will also request that Belleville Mayor Neil Ellis be able to be present at the OLG's next board meeting, or that OLG representatives be present during an upcoming city council meeting.

“As the host municipality, we need to know what’s going on,” Ellis was quoted as saying in the report, which also cited him as saying, “We need an end to this.”
