It has been reported that in Kentucky there has been a very slight bit of progress in regard to the possibility of the introduction of racinos in the state.
An article by The Courier-Journal explains that House Speaker Larry Clark – who has proposed a constitutional amendment which would allow racinos in the state – has been in discussion with racetrack officials this week.
The Wednesday discussions between Speaker Clark and the racetracks centered around whether or not the issue of legalized racinos can be advanced this session.
The report did not delve into specifics about the meetings, but it did quote Speaker Clark as saying that some issues were resolved and the discussions were “one of the better meetings we’ve had in quite a few years.”
