It was a profitable Thursday evening at the office for driver Corey Callahan who manufactured a five-win performance on the 15-race program at Dover Downs.
Callahan kicked off the card with back-to-back runner-up performances, but it didn’t take him long to find his way to victory lane.
He struck a pose in the winner’s circle thanks to a rallying score with Alex Shredder (1:53.3) in Race 5. He then took the checkered flag in Race 10 with Rockin The House (1:51.4) before blowing away the competition with Thisthatntheother (1:53.3) in Race 11. He completed the natural hat trick with Black Aquila A (1:54.1) in Race 12 before taking the finale with Native Style (1:56.1).
The five-win performance gives Callahan 77 on the season in addition to purse earnings in excess of $700,000. The resident of Middletown, Delaware is a 4,703-time winner who recently surpassed $64 million in career earnings.
