There are currently a handful of horse racing-related bills in Kentucky that are of interest to those in the industry, and a story by The Courier-Journal gives an overview of each of them.
In its story, The Courier-Journal gives a brief overview of the eight pieces of legislation which pertain to racing or gaming in some way, shape or form.
The bills deal with language pertaining to the revenue-sharing from Instant Racing terminals; a code of ethics for members of the Kentucky Horse Racing Commission; legalization of horse-lottery gaming; a re-organization of the KHRC; the restoration of a Breeders' Cup tax incentive; licencing of companies that make Instant Racing machines, and a constitutional amendment in regard to casinos.
