The Ontario Harness Horse Association is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2017 OHHA scholarships.
For the twelfth year in a row, OHHA is awarding scholarships to children of active, participating OHHA members who have entered their first year of full-time undergraduate studies leading to a first post-secondary certificate or diploma.
This year’s recipient of the $2,500 University Scholarship is Alana Belore (Embro), who is enrolled in the Law (LL.B) & Environmental & Resource Studies (B.A.): Trent/Swansea Dual Degree at Trent University.
Recipient of the $1,500 College Scholarship is Kelley McNiven (Putnam), who is enrolled in the Family Studies and Social Science Programs at Brescia University College.
One of the criteria to be awarded a scholarship is proven academic achievement and these two candidates realized outstanding results during their secondary education.
OHHA thanks all students who applied for a scholarship and wishes them the very best of luck with their studies and for the future.
