On Tuesday, February 21, the board of Prince Edward Island's Prince County Horsemen's Club issued its support to the Ontario racing industry in light of the siege it has been put under by the Ontario Liberal Government
.
"The board of directors of the Prince County Horsemen's Club in Summerside, P.E.I., and President Barry Bassett would like to make it known that we are in full support of the horsemen and women in Ontario," the PCHC Board told Standardbred Canada.
The release went on to state, "Summerside has a lot of well known horsemen in Ontario, and the situation there is very near and dear to a lot of people right here at home."
The PCHC Board concluded by saying, "We encourage everybody to voice your support for the harness racing industry in Ontario."
