One of the most impressive winners on Sunday afternoon’s card of racing at the Meadowlands was one of the most expensive yearlings to sell at auction in 2007

.

Lisagain, the half-brother to the multi-talented Lis Mara (1:47.3 - $2,270,674) and the speedy Lis Deo (1:50.2 - $227,688), broke his maiden over an off-track in a time of 1:53.3 for the Miller brothers – trainer Erv and driver Andy.

In doing so, the three-year-old son of Dragon Again recovered $6,750 of his $260,000 Harrisburg Yearling Sale price tag.

Owned by the Illinois partnership of John Carver and Mystical Marker Farms LLC, Lisagain shot to immediate command in this afternoon’s conditioned assignment and laid down panels of :28.2, :58.2 and 1:26.3 before uncorking a :27-second final frame en route to the eye-catching triumph.

This afternoon’s performance was just the second lifetime start for the colt, who was fourth in his debut effort at the Meadowlands in a division of the Junior Trendsetter Series on February 12.

The connections have paid the pacer up to the upcoming Matts Scooter Series and the Berry’s Creek Pace at the Meadowlands.
