Daylon Miracle found the pocket early, and then brushed by the leader in the lane to capture Thursday’s $22,500 Filly & Mare Winners Over $10,000 Life/Preferred Handicap Trot at The Meadows.
Daylon Miracle was content to let Magic Wheel set the fractions on the sloppy, tiring surface. But when Aaron Merriman cut her loose late, she easily kicked past the game Magic Wheel and downed her by 1-3/4 lengths in 1:57.3. Mistress Valentine was a good third from Post 9.
Bill Bercury owns and trains Daylon Miracle, a five-year-old daughter of Pegasus-Spur-Daylon Marvel who now boasts $270,965 in career earnings.
Merriman drove four winners and Mike Wilder three on the 15-race card.
